My daughter has been going up the mountain with the blue angels to snowboard for the past 4 years and has loved it! it has been a great way for her to grow in the sport. the program is super professional and organized with great coaches!

This is the greatest, most professional, fun adventure my family has experienced when it comes to skiing and snowboarding! my twin teenagers have had the best time with this program. they have learned a lot from their loving, fun, helpful instructors. i got to chaperone, and what a terrific experience that is! we can't so talking about how awesome the blue angels experience is! !!!

My son has participated in blue angels for the last 3 years and absolutely loves it.  unfortunately, two weeks ago, he broke his arm in a non-snowboarding related incident and will not be able to participate in the remainder of this year's camp.  blue angels was more than accommodating and my son is looking forward to year #4 next january.  heidi and griff run a first class operation and i have nothing but positive feedback to give to blue angels.

This was my first year having my daughter join the blue angel's snowboard program and i have been very impressed with how professional and organized the group is.  i decided to sign my 12 year old daughter up because she had been begging to snowboard.  the problem for me is that living in orange county it is too time consuming to go up and down the mountain, plus i do not snowboard so i would need to pay for her to have lessons when i was there.  this program solved both problems for me.  she has a group to ride up the mountain with, plus excellent instructors as well as a great group of kids that are at her same level that she has become friends with because they keep the kids together for the season.  she has already improved so much even after just a couple trips.  she already wants to go again next year so i will have to plan to make this a yearly thing until she "outgrows" it at 16.  it seems that many of the kids that have been in the program do come back as chaperones too so she might be a part of this for years to come.  it was a bit unnerving to send my child up the mountain on a bus with a group of people that i did not know, but i feel 100% safe sending her with them now.  it feels like she is just going on a school field trip, of course, this is better than most school field trips though.  :)

As the name says, this a ski & snowboard program for youth only. for parents that don't ski/snowboard, don't have the time, or for whatever reason, this is a great program for kids to go up with friends, or go alone and meet new friends while having fun on the slopes.
my wife and i have been fortunate to go along as chaperones for the past five years and spend some quality time with our kids. while we are on duty we watch over all the kids on our bus as if they were our own children. for some of the younger participants, we help them get their boots on, help locate any lost/missing items, or in a worst case scenario we are there with them at the first aid station in the event they get sick or hurt. we are there at the bus in the morning to assist them with their gear and we are there for them at the end of the trip until the every last child is picked up. if someone inadvertently leaves an item on the bus, we'll usually find it and will make it a point to return it back to the owner.
griff and heidi have been doing this for so many years now they have it down to a science.  the program is well organized, with attention to the  details for the logistics of transporting several hundred kids from all around the bay area up to lake tahoe, feeding them, placing them in a small group instruction class, and getting everyone safely back home again at the end of the day with a dinner stop along the way. i highly recommend this program to any parent looking for a safe and reasonably priced alternative to driving up and back to lake tahoe for a similar type of ski trip.

I have been a chaperone with the blue angels for several seasons.  the staff members are wonderful and so is the sierra at tahoe resort.  because my children are in the blue angels, then they have a lot more time on the slopes than if i were to drive them and sign up for lessons every time.  instead, we just relax on the bus - watching movies and chatting with friends.  and if there is the need for chains, then the bus driver takes care of it.  the staff and logistics are great - and so are the coaches.  with the blue angels, the participants have the same "coach" and are with the same group for all of their sessions.

I can not say enough good things about blue angels ski program.  it is so run so well, and is the perfect way for kids to learn how to ski - or to improve their skiing abilities.  the bus ride is fun for them, and my boys come home talking about their ski instructors.  i highly recommend blue angels to any families that want their kids to get in ski days.

If your child loves to ski or snowboard -- or really wants to learn how -- this is an excellent program for him or her. this will be my son's 6th year as a participant and he has grown from a beginner to a highly skilled skier who handles any run with safety and confidence. by the 3rd year in the program, my son had already learned waaaaaay more than i could teach him! he's also gained many other skills from his blue angels experience, such as keeping organized, using judgment, observing changing weather conditions and maintaining energy during a day-long ski trip. heidi is an amazingly caring and involved program director who literally moves mountains and keeps a close eye on the kids. this program is the perfect way for kids to ski or snowboard all winter long when parents don't have the time, energy or money to make multiple trips to mammoth or colorado!
