WOW!! First off, shout out to Valdamir (vlad) !! When our champagne flutes were forgotten, vlad WENT BACK and got them (or he orchestrated someone to get them) and I was sooo happy about that because i was really wanting those champagne flutes haha. The rest of the staff was also just so nice and fun the whole night and the food of course was AMAZING !!!!!
Greenmill catered our wedding and it was Yum yum yum.
The Green Mill was one of the recommended vendors in partnership with the Watson Block and, after our experience with them, we can totally understand why. Their menu prices were honest and transparent, we did not receive any surprise bills, and their service on the day of the wedding was impeccable. One of the very few regrets we have about our experience was that we didn't make time to enjoy a second plate! The Maple Dijon Chicken and Spinach Tortelloni were both quite delicious and the buffet style dinner proved to perfectly serve the roughly 70 guests in attendance. Another aspect that we liked about booking the Green Mill was the complimentary food tasting, which allowed us to try a variety of dishes off of their special catering menu. We got to try multiple appetizers, mains, and dessert dishes and, by the end, narrowed down the menu items we ultimately decided to go with. Our experience with the Green Mill was very positive and we would not hesitate to recommend them to any couple looking for a vendor that can offer choices ranging from budget-friendly to premium options.
Firstly, I want to emphasize that the food was delicious and the portions very generous! The planning process leading up to our wedding reception was very smooth and Sarah was very helpful in answering my many questions. The only things that could have gone better were the salad we selected (I think maybe arugula must’ve been out of season this time of the year because the salad tasted a little off) and they forgot to save 2/3 appetizers for the groom and I. We also wish they could’ve left our entrees on the table for a bit longer so we could eat a more later on. I’m not sure how much was our venue and how much was Green Mill, but our guests drinks were cleared over and over again before they were finished, which was the most frustrating thing from the night. I would make sure to make a specific request that they don’t do this. If you opt for a plated dinner, you’ll have an option in the planning process to have the salads set out prior to the call to seating for dinner, but I would recommend waiting to serve it until the guests are seated because it made our guests sit down and start eating too early (during cocktail hour before dinner was announced). I would still recommend Green Mill, I just wanted to be completely transparent! Hopefully this was helpful for the bride-to-be’s out there!
