Kerby and her team did an exceptional job assisting our client tackle the difficult task of moving out after many years in their family home. They were experts in the process, being highly efficient and always organized through the process which made it a great experience for our client.

I can’t say enough good things about Kerby Valverde and Caring Transitions. When I was faced with downsizing from a big house my family had owned—and filled with all sorts of possessions—for over 70 years to a small apartment on my own, Kerby and her team took over with amazing and truly caring efficiency, handling packing, moving and an estate sale. On moving day, all I had to do was stay out of their way. That afternoon I walked into an apartment that already looked like home, with my furniture and belongings comfortably unpacked and arranged. Five stars are not enough.

Thank you so much to Kerby, Morgan, and team! They made getting my mother's home ready for sale easy and painless, and the estate sale was a success! Highly recommend!

We had an extremely negative experience with this moving company. The contract was rushed and left blank, and we never received a copy. Verbal agreements were made but completely ignored. Items went missing, and what was moved arrived damaged—scratched and broken. Two days before the move, they unexpectedly asked for more money, and we felt pressured to comply because of our limited options. It’s heartbreaking to see my elderly parent upset every day, feeling taken advantage of and unable to find the items he was expecting. During the move, one of the owners told my father to "let them do their job" and pushed him aside. Some of his belongings that he specifically wanted moved were discarded, and he was unable to stop it due to the stress and physical limitations he was under. We chose this company based on a recommendation from our realtor, but we regret that decision. While they may seem like caring people at first, their true focus seems to be on making money. My dad is devastated by the loss of his cherished items and the damage to the ones that did make it. He feels swindled and deeply hurt, which has caused ongoing emotional distress. No one, especially a senior citizen, should have to go through such an experience. This review reflects both of our experiences and the emotional toll it has taken on my father. The owner emailed me after I posted a review but, after I responded, never followed up. I’ve also noticed that their Google reviews seem to have been inflated recently, which makes me question how many jobs they've actually completed. The owner has a full-time job in another city and didn’t check on the move until the last few days. I strongly caution others to look elsewhere. For over $10k, we expected a higher level of professionalism, responsibility, and overall quality of service. Edited to add: The "generous tip" provided for lunch amounted to $50. The remaining money was the result of an exorbitant charge imposed at the last minute. No concerns were raised at the time because my disabled father was physically unable to inspect the items being transported. However, as time has passed and the items are being unpacked, he has discovered several missing and damaged items. The "hoarder" situation referred to a lifetime of cherished possessions that were present from day one when Kerby first provided the estimate. Kerby, the owner, came once to assess the situation, then returned a second time for five minutes to have a blank contract signed. She appeared again on the weekend before the move, but never provided a copy of the contract. Instead, she sent her daughter to tag and pack items for approximately 20 hours prior to the move. The tags used were colored dots that often fell off, and items that had been tagged before we left did not make it. They made the unilateral decision to leave behind or dispose of items they deemed unnecessary. THESE WERE THEIR CHOICES. So, for anyone planning or considering using their services, take due notice and govern yourselves accordingly.
