Tara and Brian care deeply about every family they help transition. Extremely organized. Friendly and professional!
Tara and her team did an amazing job clearing out 50 plus years of assorted belongings from our house in Orange, NJ. Communication was excellent in every stage of the process. I never felt rushed and there was a lot of care taken to find the best means of repurposing and disposing of all of the different types of items we had. Tara communicated well with our real estate broker, which made the process seemless for me. We couldn't be happier with the end result.
My Mom died recently and I live in NC. My Mom lived in NJ. I needed help and assistance in dealing with her personal effects, furniture, papers and whatever else was in her house. I had spoken with Chris Paricio of Walker's Realty about helping with the sale of the house. He recommended Tara & Brian Nielsen from Caring Transitions of Parsippany. I met them on a Friday at Mom's House and they told me it would be "no problem". It's now about 2 weeks later and the house is empty! I had several requests: I wanted my Mom's effects to go be donated where possible and not thrown away. Tara suggested a hybrid plan that donated some items and created an online auction for bulkier items like a sectional couch, dining room table, china cabinet and so on. The marketing was brilliant! "Mid-Century Modern" as most the items were more than 50 years old but in very good condition. The auction lasted a week and the net result is that they are going to send me a check. That just astounds me! Tara & Brian were easy to work with and very good at what they do. The pricing was reasonable. It turned out that my Mom had talked with Chris, Tara, and Brian a few months before she passed but she wasn't ready to make that transition. I am very grateful for Caring Transitions of Parsippany! We even looked up similar affiliates here at home for helping us someday in the future while we are still here.
Brian and Tara were amazing! After my mom passed away, I needed help cleaning out my parents home which they had lived in for 58 years. I was absolutely overwhelmed with the task, but Caring Transitions came in and fully lived up to the "Caring" in their name. They quickly and very empathetically cleaned out the house and sorted everything into categories: items to be auctioned, items to be donated, items to be recycled/trashed, and items to be shown to me to see if I wanted to keep them. Through this process, they helped me find some family heirlooms that I had long assumed were lost, while finding the best possible destinations for everything else. To both me and them, if something could be sold or donated, then it should, with trash being a last resort. They took care of everything, from handling the dumpsters for the trash, to taking donatable items to charities and donation centers, and to setting up the online auction to auction off the rest. It was so seamless for us. Through it all, we were in constant communication as they continually checked in on me to make sure I was comfortable with everything. They even went above and beyond by taking all the things I wanted to save and not only delivering to my offsite storage, but also neatly setting everything up in it! Overall, I would recommend them very, very highly!
I’ve experienced a life changing experience which came to changing addresses after 22 years. I was introduced to Tara Nielsen of Caring Transitions and she immediately put my mind at ease. She and her team were able to do things that left on my own could never achieve. They worked tirelessly and always had a positive attitude. I know know if I have a question or a need Tara and her team will have the solution. I will forever be grateful. Cheryl Rosen.
