What I thought was going to be a nightmare moving my 93 year old mom from Florida to Chicago turned out to be an incredibly smooth and easy process thanks to Caring Transitions and their team. They literally provided everything possible to make this move go smoother than I had ever hoped from packing up everything, removing anything that either needed to be donated, sold or removed and disposed of. The service that David and Rhonda provide is invaluable. They helped my sister pack and distribute our family’s treasures after our father passed away. This help came in two forms: the logistics and the emotional aspects of dealing with it all. Due to covid, I couldn’t help my sister with the job. Caring Transitions really took a lot of weight off our shoulders at a doubly difficult time. Upon receiving items from our family home, I was amazed at the care in packing every single item. This was my second time using David and Rhonda to move my Mother. They did such an amazing job moving my Mother and made the overwhelming task of downsizing her from the family house where they had lived for many years to a smaller independent living community, stress free. They packed everything (and even suggested what furniture would work or not in the new apartment), unpacked everything, set everything up so all my Mother had to do was show up to a fully completed apartment.
