CT made the estate sale and clearance of my dad’s home a breeze! When I met with Margo to go over things, the main thing she told me was, “Stop clearing things out! Leave that to us.” Estate sales are all online (serious bidding gets going in the final hours, btw), and pickup is all in one day. Shipping is available to those out of state also, which means your sale won’t be limited to local bidders. After the sale is over, CT donates whatever is left, and leaves NOTHING in the house. They do all the work, and charge only a reasonable fee, while also collecting a fair portion of gross sales. The workers even found a few personal items we had missed, and made sure to hold those for us. The only thing to remember is that bidding for all items/lots starts at $1. You may want to ask if you can set a reserve on certain items. Not sure if you can, but I would have done that for a couple of things, had I known. All in all, if clearing out a loved one’s home and putting on a sale seem like overwhelming tasks, please call Caring Transitions. They will do all the work for you!
