Can you imagine leaving your home for a few hours while they pack one day - and walking into your new residence the next day and everything has been moved in - unpacked- put away - beds made - pictures hung - ready for you to pour a glass of wine and enjoy your new home. Wynesta and Steve and their wonderful team made order out of the complete chaos of my sister's home. My sister's sudden and unexpected death left me reeling. My realtor recommended Caring Transitions of the Angeles Foothills and they swooped in like angels to help me. I live in another state and trying to sort my loved one's belongings was costing me dearly, both emotionally and financially. Wynesta and her team sorted and auctioned items, donated items and let go of items that needed to be let go of. They worked hard to make sure that my family received a fair price for auctioned items and made sure that items that could be used by others were donated to legitimate charities. Most importantly they worked hard to preserve my sister's dignity throughout the process. It was a godsend to have this service help me through a very difficult and emotionally draining time. I hired Caring Transitions this month to help me pack up and move from my apartment in Monrovia, CA to a new home I purchased at Sun City Palm Desert, sold on their promises of making my move easy and stress free because they had offices in both locations. Let me give you the lesson-learned right up front. NOT ALL CARING TRANSITIONS FRANCHISEES ARE THE SAME QUALITY. The two-person team packing me up did well enough, although I found that many boxes were only labeled with destination room and not their content, slowing the unpacking process. But I was only met with ONE totally overwhelmed person to unpack me and she barely got half my kitchen done after a full day. Frantic communication with the franchisee provided no reassurance that I would promptly get more help and so I fired the Palm Desert franchisee, scrambled, and hired a professional organizer - for more money, but the job's getting done promptly. My suggestion - even if you work with Caring Transitions from Monrovia, find someone else on your own at the other end. POSTSCRIPT - The other franchisee did, to her credit, ultimately do the right thing, acknowledge responsibility, and made appropriate written and financial amends.

Caring Transitions was fantastic! They moved my mother into memory care, replicating exactly what was on her dresser at home, to give her comfort. I never would have thought of that. In clearing out her home, they found many things that I thought were lost. They sold her non family items and garnered me tens of thousands of dollars. I would never have known what to do. Somehow they knew what everything was, even the most obscure items, and found specific buyers who wanted them. Caring Transitions is amazing and worth twice what I payed them. And they are sensitive, kind, and incredibly compassionate. I highly recommend them and have told everyone I know that might need their services.
