This Academy is the most amazing dance place you can find in NM. The Director/Owner is a beautiful christian woman and the nicest person I have met. The academy is organized and a clean environment and a safe place and all the dancers getting treated the same. Plz if you are wanting to Enroll your children plz pick Sisu Dance Academy!!!!

My daughters have been attending this studio for a little over a year or two. We do love the Jazz (Miss Jessica) and tap teacher (Miss Gabby) which are two out of the four teachers. In the beginning as "new" students the training/instruction WAS good for ballet, as my children became "seasoned" the training started to lack. The teachers are always coming and going, went through 5 tap teachers and everytime had to start from square one.. This studio is very unprofessional and unorganized. My daughters has been bullied several times. When brought to the attention of owner/director, she said she would handle it and it only got worse! Felt unwelcome. Lack of communication from owner/director. Constant inconsistencies in rules, requirements, and expectations. Director talks negative about parents infront of class, In front of all students as well. She only communicates with the children but not the parents, no email about changes and blames the parents for lack of communication. Paid for a special PUBLIC class and the owner refused to allow me to get a photo with instructors. We were given the reason that because we didnt agree to have our children in advertising for studio (because we disenrolled and she restricted the public view of studio information to my family) she would not allow my children a photo with the JOFFERY instructors only (that we paid for and she allowed ANYONE in the city to attend). I would strongly suggest to anyone that is thinking of enrolling in this studio to think twice, think three times.... if you choose to enroll beware. This is just the tip of the iceburg!!

Brittany and Mitchell, I agree our relationship has had its ups and downs over the last two and a half years. Communication is an important focus for my academy. I recall spending many hours communicating with you by phone and in-person on your children’s progress, your various concerns, and listening to how unhappy you were at your former dance studio. I also take great pride in my ongoing education, as well as my faculty's personal training, to continue to teach children with a high level of professional and safe training. I enjoyed working with your two daughters very much during their time with us. I agree that we did have some changes in teachers during the pandemic as we worked very hard to keep all our students dancing through Zoom classes until we could reconvene in the Academy. Tap teachers are very difficult to come by as this genre is not as popular at this time. Although we had several tap teachers in and out of the Academy, due to unforeseen circumstances in their personal lives, our students were never without a teacher, and classes were never canceled. Families never were never at a loss to receive their training. I am very proud of what we were able to accomplish during such a tumultuous and unprecedented time. Regarding your statement about the photo issue, since you had withdrawn from our Academy and were unhappy with your daughters' progress here, yes I removed you from our social media due to your negative posts about me. Because you used social media as a gossip platform this goes against our Code of Conduct we set for the safety purposes and culture within the Academy. We do not accept undue drama at SiSu. Furthermore, because I had been told previously by Brittany to not publish any photos that included your daughters I held to that directive during our photoshoot with the guest teachers. I explained to your daughters that you did not wish to have their photos on my website or any other media platform when I asked them to step to the side during the photo session. The guest teacher classes were arranged by myself primarily for my Academy Dancers, though I opened up the classes to the community. The classes were still held at my Academy and having you take photos inside the academy after your direct orders of refraining from any photos with your children became a conflict of interest. I wish you and your daughters the very best as they pursue their dancing in their next steps on their dance journeys.

Since it seems my review keeps disappearing ill state this....When stating facts and feelings that don't follow in line with owner, you get verbally attacked. Your parenting becomes in question as well. I agree 100% with the other one star comments.

My website company assures me that there are no reviews that are being deleted on our end; in fact, it is near impossible to delete reviews that are either fake or negative. Furthermore, that is not our style at SiSu Academy. Please see my longer response to you and your husband under his review.
