After my mom suffered a fall that caused a severe femur injury and required major surgery, we learned she would not be able to return to her apartment in assisted living and would instead need long-term skilled nursing care. With almost no warning, our family was suddenly faced with an overwhelming reality, we had just 2 days to move her entire life out of her apartment, no place to put most of her belongings, and no practical way for me to manage the move on my own. Desperate for help, I started searching for local moving support and found Caring Transitions of Sandy. It was late on a Sunday night when I submitted a message through their website and honestly expected to hear back later in the week. Instead, Mark called me first thing Monday morning. I explained the situation, the urgency, and that this wasn’t a typical planned transition. Mark told me he would call me back, and shortly after, Sherry reached out to gather details while Mark headed directly to the assisted living community to evaluate what needed to be done. I want to be clear, my request was outside the normal process. Situations like this usually require planning, contracts, scheduling, and coordination. But in an act of trust and good faith that feels rare these days, they stepped in anyway. We worked on a handshake agreement, my son stopped by to provide direction, and they immediately got to work. Within about two hours, they had emptied the apartment and safely moved everything into the storage unit I had secured. Sherry went above and beyond, documenting the empty apartment with photos and helping coordinate calls regarding the remaining medical equipment so nothing was left unresolved. The relief they gave me during one of the hardest and most stressful moments for our family cannot be overstated. This is a local Utah team doing meaningful work for families going through difficult transitions. Whether you have an aging parent, a disabled loved one who needs help transitioning care, or you suddenly find yourself trying to navigate impossible logistics during a life-changing event, this is the team you want in your corner. Thank you, Mark and Sherry. Your kindness, flexibility, and willingness to help when we had nowhere else to turn meant more than I can put into words.

It was such a relief to get help cleaning out my mom's house from Caring Transitions. I was dealing with an entire lifetime worth of things and it was completely overwhelming. The only way I've been able to move forward with emptying out the house is with the help of Alan and team and knowing that all the useful things I just don't have room for could find new homes and not end up in a giant dumpster.

I love South Bay/Paltz Verdes CTBids. They’re the easiest and nicest people to deal with. I like that they don’t charge the highest percentage on the processing fee or whatever it’s called.

Caring Transitions made the management and distribution of estate assets painless, They provided personalized service in everything they did. Communications were timely and all tasks were completed on time. They provided additional support by checking and forwarding mail, providing property management, and deep cleaning services. I recommend Caring Transitions without hesitation. I would use them again if the need arose.
