We were totally pleased with every aspect of our move and downsizing.

Brad Kaune and Caring Transitions went above & beyond in their attending to the situation I was facing w/my sister. Her mental & physical health had deteriorated to the point where we had to place her where she would be taken care of 24/7. They cleaned her 2 residences, managed to auction off the material property that my sister & her husband had accumulated over several years, disposed of some hazardous materials that were in one of the houses and assisted w/the disposal of my sister's 2 vehicles. Brad & Caring Transitions took charge of this situation and took much of the headache & heartache off of my plate. I cannot thank them enough.

My first experience with Caring Transitions was exceptional. Stu and his colleague demonstrated professionalism in every respect. They coordinated a move from independent living in North Carolina to our assisted living community in Reston, VA without a single delay or issue. Their communication was consistent and clear, they arrived right on time, and their warm, friendly demeanor made the entire process smooth and reassuring.

When our mother passed away, we three siblings got together to discuss the next steps. We all lived between 2.5 to 4.5 hours from her home. We started by hauling the more memorable and precious items to our homes and our children's homes, at least what would fit. But that still left so many items. So we decided to try an estate sale. Frankly, we were worried about trying to conduct an estate sale. Were we going to have to do the Facebook Marketplace thing ourselves? Could there possibly be anyone local with experience that could handle it for us? What were our options? Miraculously, we came across Caring Transitions. Robert Alley met with us and discussed their process. After signing the contract, and waiting for the holidays to get out of the way, the process started. Robert and his crew got busy separating the garbage from the donate-ables from the sell-ables. That task alone proved they knowledge and worth. But then came the sale. And the results blew us away. Yes, there were a few individual items that disappointed us in the winning bid. But as far as we were concerned, it was pretty much all junk to us, we had already carted off everything of real value. We want to thank Robert and his team, Annette, Anna, Diana, and Danny for their professionalism. The house was cleaned out (objective #1) and we were able to get a little money for some "worthless" items with little effort by us (objective #2). I can't recommend them more highly.
