Our existing AC system was very old and no longer worked efficiently - it couldn't keep up with Houston heat (house was built in the 1960s, and the system was ~20 years old). We got quotes from three reputable AC companies, but ATS Mechanical's approach differed from the others. It is now 2 years later, and the technician discovered a freon leak from a defective joint they made with the original work. The technician owned up to a bad joint on their part; however, it was out-of-warranty. He only charged me labor, but replaced all of the freon (expensive), and saved me $ to get the AC working again! We just needed freon. The gentlemen did try (hard) to sell us on a new unit so I left my husband to deal with that. Overall, the house cooled off quickly and I appreciate that. The service was done.
